Welcome to Food Friends Love (FFL). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, services, and events. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.
1. General Information
1.1 Food Friends Love is a service that organizes social dining events to foster connections among participants.
1.2 Our website and services are intended for individuals 18 years or older.
1.3 By registering for an event or using our website, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and up to date.
2. Event Participation
2.1 Participation in FFL events requires the purchase of a ticket, subject to availability.
2.2 All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. However, tickets may be transferred to another individual only with prior written approval from the organizer. To be eligible for transfer, you must notify us at least 5 days before the event date. Requests received after this period cannot be accommodated. We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. However, last-minute cancellations have a significant impact on our operations. By respecting our cancellation policy, you help us manage our resources more efficiently and maintain a fair booking system for all guests
2.3 Attendees must adhere to the age group and other eligibility criteria specified for the event.
2.4 FFL reserves the right to deny admission or remove individuals who disrupt the event or fail to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
3. Payments and Fees
3.1 Payments must be made in full at the time of booking through the payment methods available on our website.
3.2 All prices listed include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
3.3 FFL reserves the right to change ticket prices without notice; however, changes will not affect tickets already purchased.
4. Code of Conduct
4.1 Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward all attendees, staff, and venue personnel.
4.2 Discriminatory, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the event without refund.
5. Privacy and Data Use (Canada – PIPEDA)

a) to create and manage your account/profile and membership
b) to register you for events and deliver event-related communications

d) to facilitate matching features (including generating suggested matches and enabling mutual match notifications)

f) to improve our services, event experience, and website performance
g) to send marketing communications where permitted by law (you may unsubscribe at any time)
5.4 Consent
By submitting personal information to FFL, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure as described in these Terms and our policies. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us. Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide certain services (ex: matching, membership benefits, event access).
5.5 Marketing Communications
If you opt in to receive newsletters or promotional content, you may unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us. Transactional/event-related emails (ex: ticket confirmations, event updates) are not optional.
5.6 Disclosure to Service Providers (Third Parties)
FFL does not sell personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers only as necessary to deliver our services (for example: payment processing, email distribution, analytics, registration forms, website hosting). These providers are only authorized to use your information to perform services on our behalf and must protect it appropriately.
5.7 International / Cross-Border Processing
Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Canada (including in the United States or other jurisdictions). As a result, personal information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
5.8 Retention of Information
FFL retains personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, dispute resolution, and operational requirements. When no longer required, personal information is securely destroyed or anonymized.

5.13 Event Media (Photos & Videos)
FFL may photograph or record events for promotional purposes. By attending an event, you consent to the use of your image/likeness in our marketing materials. If you wish to opt out, you must notify us in writing prior to the event, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate.
6. Limitations of Liability
6.1 FFL is not responsible for personal injuries, loss, or damages incurred during events or while using our services.
6.2 FFL does not guarantee connections, matches, or outcomes from participation in events.
6.3 While we strive to ensure accurate information on our website, we cannot guarantee it is free of errors or omissions.
6.4 FFL and the hosting restaurants are not responsible for any food allergies, sensitivities, or adverse reactions to food or beverages served during events. Participants are responsible for communicating any dietary restrictions or allergies directly to the event organizers and/or restaurant staff.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
7.1 FFL reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be notified and offered a choice of a rescheduled date or credit for a future event.
7.2 Refunds will only be issued if an event is canceled by FFL and rescheduling is not possible.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 All content on the FFL website, including text, images, and branding, is the property of Food Friends Love and may not be used or reproduced without permission.
8.2 Unauthorized use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.
9. Changes to Terms
9.1 FFL reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website.
9.2 Continued use of our services following any changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
